How Many Types of Slot Games Are There?
Classic Slots
Old-style slots with three reels and simple paylines. Microgaming and NetEnt are popular in this category.
Video Slots
Modern slots with five reels, animations and bonus features. Pragmatic Play's Gates of Olympus is one such example.
Jackpot Slots
The prize pool grows with every bet placed. These progressive slots offer the chance of a large win.
Megaways Slots
The number of payways changes with every spin, running into the thousands. Pragmatic Play's Sweet Bonanza represents this type.
Cascading Reels
Winning symbols disappear and new ones fall into place, creating the chance to win multiple times from a single bet.
Cluster Pays
Wins are formed by clusters of matching symbols on a grid rather than fixed paylines. NetEnt specialises in this mechanic.
Jackpot Games with Big Prizes
jr66 offers various types of jackpot games where every bet makes the prize bigger.
Progressive Jackpot Slots
A small amount is added to the jackpot pool with every spin. When a player hits the special symbol combination, the entire pool is paid out to them.
Live Casino Side-Bet Jackpots
Placing an extra side-bet at baccarat and blackjack tables gives you the chance to win a jackpot. The main game continues alongside the bonus prize opportunity.
Crash Game Multiplier Jackpot
In crash games like Aviator, cashing out at the right moment when the multiplier climbs very high can result in a massive prize.
Fishing Game Jackpots
In JILI's Mega Fishing and Jackpot Fishing, catching a big fish in a special bonus round delivers a jackpot prize. Every game session is a new opportunity.

Which One Is Right for You?
| Comparison Point | Sports Betting | Casino Games |
|---|---|---|
| How Results Are Determined | Based on real match events — depends on player performance and on-field conditions. | Entirely at random via a Random Number Generator (RNG) or live dealer cards and roulette wheel. |
| Role of Research | Analysing team form, pitch reports, and head-to-head stats can help you make better decisions. | Basic strategies can be learned (such as in baccarat or blackjack), but each round is an independent event. |
| Pace of Play | Slower and more analytical, following the pace of the match — a cricket match can run for several hours. | Faster — a single slot spin or blackjack hand is over in a matter of seconds. |
| Session Length | Usually longer — you need to stay focused throughout the full match or a specific innings. | Start or stop whenever you like — short sessions are perfectly enjoyable. |
| Bookmaker / House Advantage | The bookmaker margin is built into the odds; sharp analysis can reduce the impact of that margin to some extent. | Each game carries a fixed house edge — disclosed openly and transparently. |
| Who It Suits | Dedicated cricket or football fans who prefer to use their knowledge when placing bets. | Players looking for instant entertainment who want to enjoy themselves without pressure. |
Responsible play is most important in both types of games. Visit the Cricket page to start cricket betting and the Slots page to explore slot games.
